José Placido is chief executive officer of RBC Dexia Investor Services.

RBC Dexia Investor Services ranks among the world’s top 10 global custodians and provides specialised investment administration solutions for institutional investors. With USD 2.9 trillion in assets under administration, RBC Dexia Investor Services has offices in 15 countries around the world and a global custody network covering more than 80 markets.

The company is a joint venture of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Dexia. The holding company, RBC Dexia Investor Services Limited, is headquartered in London, UK. Operations are conducted mainly by RBC Dexia Investor Services Bank in Luxembourg and RBC Dexia Investor Services Trust in Canada, and their affiliates and branches around the world.

Mr. Placido began his career in institutional investor services when he joined Royal Trust Corporation of Canada in 1988. The company was later acquired by RBC where Mr. Placido held several leadership positions. From 1996 to 1999, he was managing director of RBC Global Services’ London, UK office, becoming senior vice president in 2001 and later executive vice president in 2003.

During his leadership, Mr. Placido oversaw revenue growth of nearly 40%, and an increase in assets under administration of close to 50%. He also led the successful acquisition of the performance measurement business of SEI Investments Canada in 2000 and the Perpetual Fund Services business (in Australia) in 2001, expanding RBC's presence in the Asia Pacific market. A graduate of Montreal’s McGill University, Mr. Placido has close to two decades of experience in the financial services industry.

Jean-Michel Loehr Jean-Michel Loehr
CEO of RBC Dexia Investor Services Bank S.A.

Jean Michel Loehr is a member of the Executive Committee of RBC Dexia Investor Services Ltd. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer of RBC Dexia Investor Services Bank, an operation based in Luxembourg with subsidiaries in Belgium, Ireland, Spain, Italy, France, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Cayman Islands.

Jean-Michel spent a large part of his career within Dexia BIL in various management functions related to fund administration and investor services. He also headed the Fund Services Department for Banque Paribas in Luxembourg, a leading French bank, for seven years before joining Dexia Fund Services, a predecessor company to RBC Dexia Investor Services, in 2000. Prior to his present role, Jean-Michel served as Head of Operations and Deputy CEO of RBC Dexia Investor Services Bank. Jean Michel is also Chairman of the operation techniques committee for ALFI (Luxembourg fund association) as well as a board member for a number of international funds.

Antony Johnson Antony Johnson
Global Head, Sales & Relationship Management

Antony (Tony) Johnson is responsible for driving revenue growth and retention and directing sales & relationship management efforts across the globe.

Prior to re-joining in RBC in 2003, Mr. Johnson worked for two years as Executive Vice President – Europe with BISYS Fund Services with responsibility for their fund administration-outsourcing businesses in the European region. He joined BISYS from RBC Global Services where he spent 5 years as Head of Sales & RM – Europe/Middle East.

Mr. Johnson previously worked with Citibank as Vice President Sales, responsible for promoting securities services in the UK & Nordic markets, which in turn followed 11 years in sales and sales management roles in business information and market data services for the financial market community.

Eric Mansuy Eric Mansuy
Chief Information Officer

As Chief Information Officer of RBC Dexia Investor Services, Mr. Mansuy is responsible for the all aspects of IT planning, systems development and daily application support.

Before taking on this role, Mr. Mansuy was previously Head of IT Services with Dexia Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (BIL). He has held progressively senior positions within Dexia BIL where he has spent much of his career.

Mr. Mansuy holds a Master’s degree in IT management, and a DESS in Business Administration. He also completed the Program for Executive Development with IMD in Lausanne.

Susan Pike Susan Pike
Global Head, Market Products & Services

Susan Pike has global accountability for product management, product development and service delivery, which encompasses foreign exchange, securities lending, investment finance, cash management and technical sales.

Before taking on this role, Ms. Pike was Global Head, Securities Lending, for RBC Dexia. Prior to that she was responsible for product management for securities lending, foreign exchange and transition management services.

With more than two decades of experience in investor services, she began her career at Montreal Trust, where she held various senior management roles including Assistant Vice President of Product Support. In 1997, she joined RBC Global Services and held progressively senior roles in securities lending and foreign exchange trading, including Head, Global Trading.

Ms. Pike holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree.

Kevin Powers Kevin Powers
Chief Financial Officer

In his role of Chief Financial Officer for RBC Dexia Investor Services, Kevin Powers is responsible for the finance, accounting, taxation and treasury groups of RBC Dexia Investor Services. Mr. Powers is also responsible for all mergers and acquisitions activity of the company.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Powers was Head of Global Development for RBC Global Services, Institutional & Investor Services. Kevin has also held positions within RBC Financial Group, including Senior Manager, US Balance Sheet Management; Senior Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, Senior Manager, Financial Strategy.

Mr. Powers holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance/International Business) as well as a Master of Science degree in Administration (Finance), both from Concordia University in Montreal. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Laurent Vanderweyen Laurent Vanderweyen
Chief Administration Officer

Laurent Vanderweyen is Chief Administration Officer, responsible for RBC Dexia Investor Services’ corporate governance framework, encompassing human resources, risk management, corporate governance, compliance and audit functions. He is also responsible for marketing & communications.

Mr. Vanderweyen began his career with Dexia Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, holding several positions within Finance and International Networks before moving to Dexia Fund Services. Most recently, he served as Head of Corporate Services, Finance and Risk for Dexia Fund Services.

Mr. Vanderweyen holds a degree in Business Administration.

Rob Wright Rob Wright
Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Rob Wright is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organisation’s global operations and client service strategy. Mr. Wright is also responsible for the main operations centres for investment administration, custody, shareholder services as well as all regional geographies.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Wright held several leadership positions with RBC Global Services, Institutional & Investor Services. These included Managing Director, Global Fund Services, where he was responsible for the development of the business strategy for the global fund management business segment; and Vice President, Sales and Relationship Management, responsible for business development and strategic account management.

Mr. Wright is a member of the Board of Directors for the Australian branch of RBC Dexia Investor Services Trust.
